Path-diversity Combining and Signal Level Characteristics for Wideband Mobile Radio

Abstract(in English) This study evaluates the cumulative distribution of signal level after pathdiversity combining for both exponential and rectangular delay profile models.The number of effective branches for path- diversity is clarified as a fuction of delay spread and bandwidth by compairing these two distributions.The theoretical disrtibution of diversity combined signal is compared with measured distribution obtained by wideband measurement.The cumulative distribution of diversity combined for selecting two branches having the maximum and the second instantaneous S, N is theoretically analyzed.
