A Study on Small Slot Antenna for Wrist Watch Type Portable Radio Equipment

Abstract(in English) Recently,the downsizing technology for portable radio equipment have been in progress,and,the wrist watch type portable radio equipment is available now.The antenna for such kind of equipments are much affected by human body,but a slot antenna can positively utilize the body effect.This paper proposes the slot antenna which built in the watch band.The maximun antenna gain of about -13 dBd was obtained at 330 MHz by the radiation patterns measurement.Also the measurements were done under the practical situation where it was set on the wrist,and the positive body effect was confirmed, which demonstrated the possibilty of this antenna for pratical use.
