Abstract(in English) CMA adaptive array has the superior performance in suppressing interfering waves as a counter measure against selective fading in land mobile communications. To make its convergence characteristics much better, it has been proposed that the beamspace system is incorporated into the CMA, since it is known that CMA using this system performs optimization more efficiently. Among the beamspace systems, FFT-based beamspace and eigen-beamspace systems are often used. In this paper, we carried out the computer simulation to compare and discuss the convergence characteristics of the two beamspace systems in using conventional and differential CMAs. Consequently, it is shown that the eigen-beamspace system has better convergence. characteristics. Also, we have discussed the problem of the conventional CMA and demonstrated that, the differential CMA is effective in improving the convergence rate over the conventional CMA.
