Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A small aperture radial line slot antenna (RLSA) radiating a circularly polarized conical beam is proposed as a mobile antenna for low G/T satellite communication. The full wave analysis is required for the design. The conventional analysis model of RLSA, however, is proposed for the large aperture, so cannot be applied to the small one. This paper presents a novel analysis model of the small aperture RLSA. The model consists of the rectangular cavity and short pins in place of the wall. With this model, all the reactions are given in closed form in the method of moments analysis. When the space between the short pins is less than about λ/13, those pins are equivalent to the short wall of the circular cavity.
