Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we introduce a uniform computation method for efficiently obtaining the aperture distributions which are required to design a shaped beam antenna. This method is based on the computation of the aperture distributions from the desired radiation pattern by using the 2-dimensional FFT, and gray-scale morphological operations are introduced to obtain the radiation pattern which depends on the antenna aperture size. As an example, the aperture distributions which make the coverage beam for the land of Japan are calculated with two kinds of aperture functions, and the usefulness of the presented method is discussed.
