Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Interstitial microwave hyperthermia is considered to be an effective technique to heat localized deep-seated tumors or large-volumed tumors. In this report, a basic structure of the multiple coaxial-slot antenna has been described. The antenna is modeled as a vertical antenna penetrating the interface between the air and a lossy medium. The catheter around the antenna is replaced with the equivalent polarization current. The analysis has been performed by using the moment method. Next, some discussions on both the current and SAR distributions have been made.
