Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There is a meander line antenna which is a kind of small antenna radiating linear polarization. When a meander line antenna currently in use is made small, a matching circuit is required because of its small resistance. In this paper, numerical analysis is carried out about radiation characteristics of the 2-strip meander line antenna that is able to tune easily the radiation resistance even when the antenna is small. It is possible to step up the radiation resistance in the unbalance mode and make use of the balance mode for impedance matching. Current distributions and input impedance of the antenna are shown in this paper. It's shown that the radiation pattern is toroidal pattern. The numerical results are confirmed by making experiment for the 2-strip meander line antenna.
