Near Field Interference Reduction of a Phased Array Antenna by Phase Control

Abstract(in English) As wireless communication develops rapidly, we are more and more surrounded by many types of wireless communication terminals. Under these circumstances, sometimes these electric terminals are placed close together, and interference occurs between these nearby terminals. Therefore, the interference in the near field region must be reduced. In this paper, a method using phased array antennas to reduce the level of this near field interference by controlling the phase of each element antenna is presented. This technique is extended to cases when frequency band is spread wider. Also presented is a method to reduce quantum error caused by using digital phase shifters. The efficiency of these methods are confirmed by experiments using a phased array antenna.
