Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Power combining of solid-state amplifier units using traveling-wave waveguide power divider/combiner's is discussed. The influence of input and output reflection of amplifier units and coupling line length on the output power and the input reflection of the combining system is shown by the analysis on the based of S matrix of the power divider/combiner. The effect of ununiformity of the magnitudes and the phases of the amplifier gains is also analyzed. It is shown that this unwanted effect can be reduced by appropriate placement of the amplifier units. Power combining experiments were carried out using up to six-way power divider/combiner's of the center frequency of 11.0 GHz, and the result almost agreed with the analytical one.
