Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The electromagnetic coupling in two nonidentical coupled bi-level microstrip lines which are located on the different layers of dielectric substrates is formulated, using the coupled-mode theory based on the reciprocity relation. The full-wave coupled-mode equations are derived in closed form and solved to obtain the dispersion characteristics of the coupled structure. It is shown that the numerical results of the dispersion characteristics are in good agreement with those obtained by the direct Galerkin's moment method in the spectral domain over a broad range of weak to moderately strong coupling.
