Characteristics of a Microstrip Antenna with a U-shaped slot

Abstract(in English) A microstrip antenna with a U-shaped slot can attain wide bandwidth [1]. This paper presents the two frequency bands can be tuned simply by the operational principle of its antenna. First, the characteristics of its antenna are caluculated by using FD-TD method. And, in experimental study, the principle is discussed. Furthermore, it shows that each two frequency bands can be tuned independently by the geometry of U-shaped slot.
