Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Racently various types of vehicular antennas which can track the satellite have been studied for mobile satellite communications. The authours have proposed a simple beam-switching printed array antenna composed of strips and slots as a small-size vehicular antenna. This paper describes the numerical results of the radiation characteristics of this antenna by using the FDTD method. The result shows that the maximum directivity is 9.2dBi at elevation angle θ=27.4°and four beams cover whole azimuthal direction with a minimum gain 7.3dBi at θ=30°, and a minimum gain 6.0dBi at θ=45°.
