Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An adaptive array which utilizes polarization characteristics of arrival waves in order to optimize weighting coefficients is proposed in this paper. In the adaptive array, the weighting coefficients are determined so as to minimize the power of a cross polarization component. Then, the signals received by the antcnna elements for main polarization components are weighted by the determined coeffieients. Eqiations of optimum weighting coefficients and of SINR have been derived analytically. Further, influence of polarization characteristics of antenna elements and arrival waves on the characteristics of the adaptive array is shown by numerical results.
