Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A conformal spiral antenna above a finite conducting cylinder with a cylinder length of L is analyzed using the method of moments. The VSWR of the spiral converges when L≥1 wavelength. The radiation characteristics, such as radiation pattern, FB ratio, axial ratio, and gain, become stable when L≥2 wavelengths. Based on the analysis of the single spiral, spiral arrays are designed. A seven-element array arranged around the cylinder radiates an omnidirectional beam with an axial ratio of less than 3dB.
