Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have successfully developed "spline function method" as one of the CT algo-rithms of the image reconstruction of ionospheric electron density profile. The essential point of this study is to apply the method of truncated singular value decomposition to the solution of, what is called, "normal equation" deduced from the minimization of the error term in least squares sense. Then, by introducing a well known information criterion, AIC, to the present method, we have succeeded to a certain degree in estimating optimum number of the knots of normalized B-spline in our simulation study.
