Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The amplitude and phase in the high frequency segment of array antenna should be uniform among the antenna elements. In many cases, however, they are not uniform due to individual differences of high frequency components and cables, thereby resulting in degradation of radiation patterns. This paper proposes a calibration method that unifies the variety of amplitude and phase in the elements for DBF (Digital beamforming) receiving array antenna. This method uses maximal-ratio-combining weights which can be produced in the signal processing for digital beamforming toward a signal transmitted from far-field. The feature of very fast detection and unification of the variety of amplitude and phase regardless of the signal modulation is shown.
