Fabrication of Extended Hemispherical Lens Coupled Slot Antennas

Abstract(in English) Extended hemispherical lens coupled slot array receiving antennas for 5.7GHz microwave and 94GHz millimeter wave radiation were fabricated, and antenna properties were investigated theoretically and experimentally. The gain of the fabricated antenna strongly depended on the rates of the extension length L and the radius of the lens R, and it was 16dB higher than that of hemispherical lens coupled antenna when L/R=1.4. Further, the gain was increased by 3dB over single slot antenna when using double slot array antenna.
