Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) By many researches of reliable multicast protocols, it is proposed that some types of distributed ARQ protocols that allow nodes except source to retransmit lost packets in order to achieve high efficiency by reducing of retransmissions. Performance analysis of distributed ARQ protocols that have been already published is intended specific multicast tree and can not apply to many cases. In this paper, as the performance measure, we think the average numbers of packet transmissions of each link for reliable delivery to all receivers, and for any tree topology, we derive analytical result of two types of distributed protocols, i.e.the router-based retransmission scheme and the receiver-based retransmission scheme. And we examine the performance, especially of the router-based retransmission scheme, using the numerical results of the average, the maximum, and the minimum of the performance measure mentioned above.
