Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presented the appropriate frame structure based on pilot symbols and channel estimation filter of iterative decision-directed path search and channel estimation method in order to improve the tracking ability in a fast fading environment for MC/DS-CDMA broadband packet wireless access. Computer simulation results demonstrated that, when the pilot symbols are time-multiplexed at both the beginning and the end of a packet using the channel estimation filter with which scheme was changed from the total packet length averaging for less than 2nd iteration and the block averaging over 1/4 length of packet length for more than 3rd iteration, i.e., q_=3, almost constant average received E_b/N_0 performance was achieved in the wide region of maximum Doppler frequency f_D=40-1000Hz. Compared with the case of time-multiplexed symbols at the beginning of a packet and q_=∞, the required average received E_b/N_0 for achieving the average packet error rate (PER)=10^<-2> could be improved by approximately 3 dB at f_D=800Hz, for the number of sub-carriers N_0=1, under an equal level 24-path Rayleigh fading channel with the total number of pilot symbols of 64 and the number of iterations of 3.
