Abstract(in English) | The success of i-mode service shows that mobile users strongly desire to utilize services and contents on Internet by terminals. IMT-2000 system that enables high-speed data communications will start in 2001 spring. The various multimedia services will be developed explosively. The diverse ways to use mobile communication and wide range of mobile multimedia applications will bring dynamic change to the network traffic figure and network operation. We describe IMT-2000 network architecture, key technologies on IMT-2000 and traffic subjects concerned with ATM technology, congestion control and routing mechanism from viewpoint of implementation and operation. Then we propose IMT-2000 system step2 network as an alternative solution of the above subjects. |
