A Level-Crossing Approach to a Two-Phase Queueing System with Exhaustive Batch Service

Abstract(in English) We consider a new type of single vacation model with non-exhaustive service which is derived from a two-phase service queueing system. The two-phase services in tandem are attended by a moving singleserver alternatively accroding to an exhaustive batch service in the first phase and the ordinary individual service in the second phase. Using the level-crossing method, we obtain the Laplace-Stieltjes transform of the total sojourn time distribution in the system and provide an explicit formula on the first two moments.
