Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is focused on a FIFO buffered ATM switch model with a threshold which can support the GFR service. However, the performance of this switch model is only evaluated in the single connection when its threshold size is changed according to the input load. In this paper, we evaluate the throughput performance when its threshold size is changed in the multiple connections. And we propose a scheduling mechanism which comply with the Cell loss priority (CLP)of ATM cell header in order to input CLP0 cells prefereutially, when cells arrive at the ATM switch in the same time slot. We compare the proposed scheduling mechanism with the conventional random scheduling mechanism about throughput performance by computer simulations. As a result, we show that the effectiveness of the proposed scheduling mechanism.
