Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigate service procedures for the GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)evolution system that is packet-switched communication system for IMT-2000. In this paper, we propose to add Dynamic DNS equipment to a GPRS network. When a mobile terminal is allocated a dynamic IP address by a GPRS network, it registers the dynamic IP address and an information that uses to transfer data packets between two gateways to the Dynamic DNS. A Node in the GPRS core network monitors a DNS query message to cache the information contained in the DNS query response message from the Dynamic DNS. The user data packet to a mobile terminal with a dynamic IP address is transferred between two gateways based on the cached information.
