Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Partially shared buffering multistage multicast ATM switch which can meet, different quality of service (QoS) requirements of the mixed traffic with delay-sensitive (D-S) and losssensitive (L-S) cells is considered to be suitable for Tb/s ATM switch model and evaluated under the uniform traffic. As variable bit rate applications characterize a significant portion of the traffic, it is very important to evaluate the performance under the bursty traffic. In this paper, we evaluate the switch performance under the mixed bursty traffic with D-S and L-S cel1s, and show that back pressure (BP) control is suitable for congestion alleviation of the switch model by means of computer simulations.
