Abstract(in English) Positioning of base stations(BS)of indoor cordless telephone systems must meet two conditions:the radio wave must muh all the places in the buildings and the number of BSs should be minimuffl However,this operation is difficult for hum″an beings when the bui ldings are large and include many radio wave obstacles.We have developed a system that automatically positions BSs given the shape of floors and obstacles.The system was applied to many example problems including actual large scale floors,and,in most cases,generated optimum layouts in practical computation time.
