| Abstract(in English) | ATM-LAN,which is one solution for high-speed links among workstations,is currently being examined,developed and standardized. To obtain flexibility for ATM connection setup,the author has proposed an ATMLAN in which connection setup is executed not by the hub but by a terminal.The author calls this approach the CSIA(Call Setup in Applications). In this report.it win be suggested that the CSIA concept is suitable for an ATM front-end network.The control portion of the hub based on the CSIA concept is not expensive and this concept can be adopted to an ATM-LAN without any violation of the ATM Forum′s standard. |
