A Study on Performance Evaluation of ATM Switch for Time Dependent Inputs

Abstract(in English) In this paper,we present the performance of the ATM switch with time dependent inputs.We take up the non-buffering switch of which speed is variable as a target of the evaluation.First of all,the traffic is modeled so that the change of the input traffic may bring the change of the switching speed.And,the blocking rate of the model in the switch is derived.Secondly,the average number of the lost cells is derived to indicate changing of speed in the switch.And then,the blocking rate is obtained as the switching speed is changed based on the average number of the lost cells,as a result,we show the relation between increase of the speed and the blocking rate.
