Multicast Routing in Optical Switching Networks

Abstract(in English) We study an optical switching network based on a circuit- switching method.For such a network,LLN(Linear Lightwave Network) has been proposed.In LLN,all optical signals are combined and divided linearly.Such a property is likely to be enjoyed when multicast communication are applied to LLN,which is our main subject in this paper.Our method for multicast routing on LLN is as follows.The network is devided into trees,on each of which the multicast signals are carried.The tree structure is dynamically arranged when the call setup is requested by each user.By this mechanism,the efficient utilization of network resources can be achieved,which we show through simulation experiments.
