Abstract(in English) We describe a photonic ATM switching network in which WDM technology is used for not only routing but also buffering.The buffer structure is a partially shared buffer memory,which delays the optical cell signals according to the cell′s wavelength.We sho w a system with a capacity of 430 Gb, s which connects a 16xl6 switch module in three stages,and evaluate the feasibility of the system based on power budget and crosstalk.We also conclude an experiment on the WDM buffer memory using 2.4 Gb/s optical cell signals.
