Abstract(in English) In this paper,we discuss a usage parameter control(UPC)mechanism for policing multiple traffic parameters.We discuss the requirements for UPC on multi-service ATM networks and propose data flow diagrams called UPC templates to specify the control flow for policing a single traffic parameter.A tandem connection of UPC templates is used for specifying multiple-parameter policing.Some examples of UPC actions are given to support representative services.Applying the proposed data flow diagram,a UPC circuit policing three traffic parameters can be implemented on one LSI and used for subscriber interfaces of up to 155 Mb, s.
