Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a service control architecture for multimedia network. The architrcture consists of delivery segment, connection management, call management, and service logic management. The call management terminates access signaling based on an object- oriented call model. The call model is designed to deal with multi- party multi-connection calls which become general in the multimedia network. This paper proposes extensions of the call model to handle third party call control which is necessary to implement video dial tone and distance learning services planned by regional operating compaiues in US.
