Abstract(in English) Aiming an easy on-line developing of the switching software, proposed is a control method of the switchperipherals by a general purpose EWS,which is featured with its abundant support functions. The existing switch CPU is replaced by an interfacing board that is connected to the EWS through the standard SCSI interface protocols.The board operates in a(M68000.)firmware control with a 4ms clock interrupt facility,thereby taking over the real time jobs,in which the EWS is generally weak.This paper presents the outline of the system configuration,firmware features and constructions.
