Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the investigation of the residential multimedia service is becoming active because of the drastic popularization of the digital technology. It will spread over the home area and the HAN (Home Area Network) will be realized in near future. IEEE1394 is a strong candidate technology for the HAN. On the other hand, the investigation of the high-speed wireless technology, such as IEEE802.11 is also becoming active. Wireless technology is familier with home-users because it does not need any new-wire in the home. We will propose new architecture of the HAlN, which uses both IEEE1394 and wireless network. It can provide to execute AV/C protocol and to transmit the MPEG2/DV stream between IEEE1394-bus and wireless network.
