Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Today's growing backbone networks require various, efficient and powerfui QoS (quality-of-service) classes. We are investigating an End-to-End delay-guarantee between source and destination nodes. Several scheduling disciplines have been considered as priority management mechanism within individual node. For examples, Delay-EDD (delay-earliest-deadline) discipline. VirtualClock discipline, Fair Queueing and its weighted version have been proposed as rate-based scheduling. In this paper, we propose extended Delay-EDD disciplines, called destination-due-date (DDD), to challenge of providing end-to-end delay performance guarantees to heterogeneous and bursty traffic. Simulation results show advantages of the proposed schemes.
