Abstract(in English) | The author proposes a flow control scheme for packet networks, which derives the optimal control for the packet sending rate. The proposed method determines the packet sending rate so as to maximize a performance measure function based on the extremal method. The performance is examined for the TCP packet network by theoretical analysis and computer simulation, and it is shown that the proposed method is optimal and fair, and that almost the maximum throughput is obtained with a packet loss ratio less than the required value. |
