Abstract(in English) We can provide an economical bearer service by constructing a network over ATM backbone. In this paper, we teke frame relay bearer service an example, and propose effective using of ATM resources by connecting some DLCs over a VC. This method suggests adjusting VC bandwhidth at intervals of a constant bandwidth to total bandwidth of DLCs over the VC, and enables to modify two kind of ATM resources, the VC bandwidth and the frequency of VC control, by changing the value of intervals. This paper also proves applicability of this method by replacing the VC bandwidth and the frequency of VC control with costs and by calculating the value of intervals which minimize the costs to guarantee bandwhith of DLCs and to keep most effective using of ATM resources.
