Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a passive double star(PDS) configuration, we have estimated the influence of reflections from the constituent optical connectors and fibers on optical analog signal quality in the viewpoint of relative intensity noise(RIN) determining the carrier to noise ratio of the analog signal. In a simple PDS model, the RIN was formulated taking accout of the multiple reflection between the connectors, fibers and the complex. We have calculated the RIN by changing the parameters of PDS configuration such as the number of distribution and the location of a divider. We have also simulated the influence of unused ports' Fresnel reflection on the in-service line. Considering the reflection of unused ports, it is noted that the divider should be located as nearer the head end office as possible.
