Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As the number of WWW (World-Wide-Web) users grow, network carriers and Internet providers are going to reconstruct the "Internet infrastructure". In doing so, however, it is important to estimate a required amount of network resources while satisfying QoS such as a document transfer delay. In this paper, we study the relation of WWW's document size and its mean transfer delay, based on M/G/1/P(Processor Sharing) queuing model and discuss appropriate design methods in building access networks
