Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Signalling traffic has increased rapidly in CCS7 signalling networks because of an increasing demand for personal telecommunications and the spread of enhanced services. CCS7 signalling networks are required to provide high-speed, high-bandwidth, cost-effective and high-reliable signalling transport. This paper proposes an efficient method to transport service control signals. Particularly it proposes four plans to lighten a load of global title translation which is expected to increase enormously. This paper also proposes a scenario to evolve the existing CCS7 signaling network to an ATM-based signalling network, and a method to interwork with other ATM-based signalling networks.
