Copy-Nodes Allocation Scheme for Multicast Network Design

Abstract(in English) An efficient scheme for establishing the multicast-path on ATM network is to connect tree-shaped path at copy-nodes. This scheme needs the routing control for multicast. Thus, restricting the number of copy-nodes was proposed since it make this control rapid and simple. However, even in this approach we need to select nodes which satisfy both conditions of the priority for multicasting and the geographical distribution at the same time, in order that copy-nodes whose number is restricted are correctly allocated. In this paper, such a new copy-nodes allocation algorithm is proposed, and the performance of this algorithm is evaluated through the computer simulation.
