Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In all-optical networks, network performance is improved by wavelength conversion. However it is difficult to provide a full capability of conversion in optical domain under the current technology. While multiple fibers on the link can improve network performance, the cost increase is innevitable. In this paper, we evaluate the effect of multiple fibers in all-optical networks with limited-range wavelength conversion. We then discuss the relation between the cost and performance.
