Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The switching system is frequently required to add diversified and enhanced communication services and to enlarge the scale of the system. Therefore, the processor performance of the system, that is, the capacity of processing or memory, arrives at the limit. Up to this time, these problems are resolved by replacing the whole of the system or installing an additional processor based on the multi-processor architecture. In this paper, we report the development result of the non-stop processor field-upgrade technologies, mainly, the developed software function and the processor replacing procedure in the field.
