Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) GFR (Guaranteed Frame Rate) Service, which offers minimum-bandwidth guarantee and impartial assignment of unused bandwidth, has been proposed by the ATM Forum. In order to implement GFR Service possible, we have designed a prototype shared-bandwidth multiplexer employing the Queue Read-Ahead WRR method. The Queue Read-Ahead WRR method which we propose guarantees impartiality within the shared bandwidth, while simultaneously guaranteeing minimum bandwidth. As a result of evaluating the prototype circuit, we have confirmed the effectiveness of the Queue Read-Ahead WRR method.
