Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the wireless ATM network, micro/pico cellular architectures give rise to a high rate of hand-offs. Therefore, the probability of forced call termination is an important quality of service (QoS) parameter. In this paper, we evaluate a Call Admission Control (CAC) method to reduce the forced call termination probability with the multiple classes of CBR connections. A channel capacity assignment which accommodates the arrival of hand-off calls can be achieved by limiting the acceptance of new calls. Through the analytical methods, we derive the blocking and forced termination probability. We also present the control parameter of this CAC by some numerical examples.
