Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We proposed an optical LiNbO3 modulator with resonant electrodes, which is consisted of planer structures. The length of the resonant electrodes is slightly smaller than the length which corresponds to series resonance. The impedance of the electrode becomes small when it is in resonance. By using a pair of stub transmission lines which are directly connected to the resonant electrode at the feeding point, the total impedance of the resonant type electrode can be enhanced due to parallel resonance of the resonant and the stub electrodes. We demonstrated an optimized structure for 10GHz whose V_πL=3.96Vcm.
