Abstract(in English) Proposed the water level meter which measures a change in floating force due to the change in liquid surface level through optical fiber strain with B-OTDR^* device. Clear out how to design a device, and confirm measuring function of liquid surface level with a floating typed and/or a suspending typed manufactured sensor. Measuring precision improves due to increase in float section. Measuring range can be expanded by connecting some units in series. Prevention of flood damage and so on is expected application to the river information control system.
