Model analysis of 2D photonic band structure waveguide formed by square rod.

Abstract(in English) It is known that a bandgap exists for both E and H polarization in the 2-dimentional photonic crystal formed by the square lattice of square rods, where dielectric constants of rod and background are 12.25 and 1.0, respectively, and the filling factor is 41%.It is called complete bandgap.We analyzed the photonic band structure(PBS)waveguide fabricated by line-defect to find guided medes for both E and H polarizations that propagate this waveguide with the frequency corresponding to the complete bandgap.For the analysis, both super-sell and FD-TD methods were used.
