Abstract(in English) It is verified that the total gain profile pumped by multi-wavelength channels is expressed as the superposition of respective gain profiles created by each pump channel. By means of the verified method, a design of broadband Raman amplifier pumped and gain-equalized by 1-THz-spaced multi-wavelength channels is presented. Raman gain flatness of 0.1-dB from 1527-nm to 1607-nm without any gain flattening filters is demonstrated by using 12 laser diodes on a 1-THz spaced grid.
