Dual-Wavelength Oscillation and Wavelength Conversion Using an Electronically Controlled Laser

Abstract(in English) We demonstrated simultaneous oscillation of dual-wavelength pulses in an electronically tuned Ti:Al_2O_3 laser using an acousto-optic tunable filter. The Ti:Al_20_3 laser in dual-wavelength operation was studied theoretically and experimentally. Even in the homogeneously broadened gain of Ti:Al_2O_3, the dualwavelength oscillation can rise in a pulsed oscillation in a transient manner. We succeeded in difference-frequency generation from 3 to 12 μm with mixing the dual-wavelength pulses in various forms of nonlincar materials
