Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Expermention realization of optical amplification using an electron beam in a vacuum are carried out. The optical amplifer consists of an optical waveguide and an electron gum. The optical beam propagates through the optical waveguide and partly penetrates into the vacuum region in the form of an evanescent wave. The electron beam propagates along the surface of the optical waveguide. Therefore, the optical beam can be amplified by receiving energy from the electron beam. Experimental method and system to detect the amplification phenomena of the sponteneous emission based on this principle are introduced. Presently, the optical amplification has not been observed clearly, but experimental improvements to observe this phenomenon is discussed.
